You Are Your Words Collage

I created the above using two free online photo programs - no sign up required!

This could be used to make a great, inexpensive personalized gift for someone.  I used my son's graduation picture and typed things that described him, his likes and dislikes, but  could use a poem, song or bible verses or a list of quotes or whatever you would like.

Items used
The first program is You Are Your Words you need to pick a photo that is portrait length as opposed to landscape.  You also need to have a minimum of 400 that you can type or cut and paste from elsewhere.

After uploading, you have the choice of 6 colors and 6 different fonts and can also make the words lighter or darker and when you are done you click the download button to save it to your computer.  I chose white, blue and darker blue backgrounds and a different font on each.

Now to the second program, which is PicMonkey (although there are many other programs that will create a collage and they would work as well, I just used this one).

I picked "Create A Collage" on the first page, uploaded the three photos and selected the "Ducks in A Row" for three pictures and then saved it, then printed it out as I plan on framing it and putting it on the wall.
Thanks for stopping by and If anyone makes a version I would love to see it, just leave a link in the comments section.

Clouds

This is for 30 Day of Creativity and the theme for Day 5 is Clouds, so I chose to take pictures of clouds with the sun peeking through on an overcast day.

WARHOLIAN PHOTO COLLAGE

This is a practice run for a project I am thinking about doing on a tote bag, but could be used for a number of other things. This was created using the free version online software at www.picnik.com (you can upload up to 5 photos to use for the free version). First I uploaded the photo I wanted to use then went to the "Create" tab and clicked on Black and white button on the right hand side of the screen and saved that version (ex: guitars blk and wh) I used the above saved version and continued under the "Create" tab and selected the "Tint" button on the left hand side, and selected the tint that I wanted, in this case a blue tint and saved this version as a new name (ex: guitars blue). Select 3 more colors and save those versions under different names. Go to the home page and select "Collage" and you will be taken to this screen. Drag the pictures to where you want them on the collage from the lower left hand corner and wait for them all to load and then save the project (ex" collage"). You could print it from your computer if you have a printer, save it to a SD card or thumb drive and take it to a photo processing place to have developed, or upload it to a site like Snapfish and either order the size you want to be mailed to you or, in some areas, sent to a local store from processing (where I live Walgreen and Meijers are options for local pickup)

DOGGY LOVE PHOTO FRAME

This project used a Dollar Store frame and some scrapbook stickers to display my son's favorite pic of his dog back when they were both youngsters.
Items you need are:
  • A favorite photo
  • A picture frame
  • Scrapbook stickers of whatever the theme of your picture is
  • Acrylic paint (in the color you prefer)
  • Scissor (to crop the photo)
  • Beading wire (optional - to make a loop on the back of the frame to hang it up)
Take glass out of frame and paint the frame the color of your choice (I used black gloss). After the paint is dry, stick on the stickers around the frame. Select the photo you want to use (preferable the same size of the photo or a larger one that you can crop to fit. If you need to crop the photo, place the glass on the photo and move it around until you get get what looks best, then trace around the frame and cut the picture out (For Mother's Day, Walgreens offered free 8X10 reprints and I had the pic blown up then trimed it to fit the 5X7 frame).
Optional: If the hangers on the back of the picture are too small to fit what you want to hang to secure the picture, create a loop with the jewelry wire and loop it through the hanger then twist off the ends.

Sketchy Portrait

On the following blog it has a tutorial for how to create you own coloring pages using free software, Irfanview that produces results similar to Photoshop, which is out of my price range and I used it to create this sketchy looking picture of my son.
Here is the original photo.

I Pimped My Avatar with Picnik

I had previously pimped my avatar to more suit me and include by handle, but it needed to be even more me and after playing around with the free software at http://www.picnik.com/ I am came up with this verison.

NEON PHOTO

I used the free software at www.picnik.com also, but did mine in neon red with neon read frame and added a lip print "sticker" in the upper left hand corner. Think the software makes me sort of looked like a fat female foured goth crossed version of the Joker, which is sort of geeky cool.

Kids "Wonder" Entry for I ♥ Faces Photography

This is a picture that I took of my son, Kyle and I am entering it into Kids "Wonder" Entry for I ♥ Faces Photography category at http://www.iheartfaces.com/. It was taken at Science Central several years back and he was in awe and wonder at all the cool displays they had there.
