MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This is our Christmas card for this year.  This was created using the free online software at www.picnik.com.  Click on the Holiday option and there are several free options (all of the above are the free options) although some of the cute options are premium.

Alas, gone are the days when I could dress him in a little Santa or Elf suit.  Now that he is 16, he would only agree to wear his "What Happens Under the Mistletoe Stays Under the Mistletoe" because he couldn't find his "Dear Santa, Let Me Explain..." t-shirt.

This was taken at our local Home Depot because it was more "manly".  Herefused to have his pic taken with Santa, but if there had been a cute girl elf handy he would have been game.

Customized Digital Collage Birthday Card

This is a customized digital collage that I put on my son's Facebook wall for his 16th birthday. I used the free online software at Picnik.com and the basic steps used in the project, except I used a 3 photo template under the "Brag Book" option: http://craftsandcreationswithkathy.blogspot.com/2009/07/create-custom-birthday-card.html I also added a sticker with a key and a car in yellow, then overlayed it in black. The meaning of the "A's =" and the key and car is a subliminal prod to remind him although he will be old enough to get his learners permit in a month, he won't be getting it unless his grades are good in school.

Warholian Photo Collage - Part 2

This is a component for a project for the "Picture This" challenge at Craftster.org.
This was made with free software at Picnik.com and I used the steps that I posted in a prior project:http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/pop_art_portrait_2/versions/6
In this version I made collages with red, blue, yellow and green shaded pictures and then made them into 4 different collages, combined them into a photo collage then used that photo to make a collage (note: Walgreen's photo processing chopped off part of the top and bottom row when I got the picture printed off is why it looks a little off).

WARHOLIAN PHOTO COLLAGE

This is a practice run for a project I am thinking about doing on a tote bag, but could be used for a number of other things. This was created using the free version online software at www.picnik.com (you can upload up to 5 photos to use for the free version). First I uploaded the photo I wanted to use then went to the "Create" tab and clicked on Black and white button on the right hand side of the screen and saved that version (ex: guitars blk and wh) I used the above saved version and continued under the "Create" tab and selected the "Tint" button on the left hand side, and selected the tint that I wanted, in this case a blue tint and saved this version as a new name (ex: guitars blue). Select 3 more colors and save those versions under different names. Go to the home page and select "Collage" and you will be taken to this screen. Drag the pictures to where you want them on the collage from the lower left hand corner and wait for them all to load and then save the project (ex" collage"). You could print it from your computer if you have a printer, save it to a SD card or thumb drive and take it to a photo processing place to have developed, or upload it to a site like Snapfish and either order the size you want to be mailed to you or, in some areas, sent to a local store from processing (where I live Walgreen and Meijers are options for local pickup)

I Pimped My Avatar with Picnik

I had previously pimped my avatar to more suit me and include by handle, but it needed to be even more me and after playing around with the free software at http://www.picnik.com/ I am came up with this verison.

NEON PHOTO

I used the free software at www.picnik.com also, but did mine in neon red with neon read frame and added a lip print "sticker" in the upper left hand corner. Think the software makes me sort of looked like a fat female foured goth crossed version of the Joker, which is sort of geeky cool.

Matted Look Lips And Roses Photo

This was done with the free online software at www.picnik.com and registration was not required and I was able to save the finished project to my computer.
This was made using the the Museum Border and then adding "stickers" with the lip print and the rose.
