DIY ONE SHOULDER ONE MINUTE NO SEW WRAP DRESS
The above fabulous idea is from another blogger that I follow, Kristen at Glitter 'N Glue. She made the dress using two yards of fabric and only took her about a minute to wrap and tie for an on-trend, summery look.
This would be easy to duplicate as no sewing required, although when I think I will put a small hem on the unfinished edges at the top and bottom. Kristen spent $10 to make this, but if you have a Walmart in your area that still carries fabric, they sometimes have cute, lightweight prints for between $1.50 - $3.00 a yard.
She does wear a tube dress underneath, but I would probably wear a bustier or strapless bra (as I would be to jiggly at the top without them) and pair with half slip underneath.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but between computer problems, vehicle problems and my my son's father being in the hospital just have not had time. Hopefully things will calm does in the in the next few weeks and I can get back to creating, crafting and cooking.
Hope everyone has a Happy Leap Year Day:)

5 Minute No Sew Elf Skirt or Cape
To get more in the Christmas spirit, I decided to turn an old oversized sweatshirt into a Elf skirt, but it could also be worn as a cape. It is based on the the 5 Minute No Sew T-Shirt to Skirt tutorial that I posted previously.
All you need is:
- A red or green oversized sweatshirt
- Scissors
- 1 1/2 - 2 yds of ribbon
- Safety pin
Use the scissors to cut a small hole in the bottom (which will now be the waistline casing) of the sweatshirt and thread the ribbon through the waistline casing and voilà, you have and elf skirt or elf cape.

5 minute T-Shirt to No Sew Skirt
Items needed:
- A too large t-shirt
- Scissors
- 2 yds or ribbon 1/4 in. ribbon
- 2 safety pins
- 4 beads (optional)
Lay out the T-Shirt on a flat surface.
Cut just underneath the arms straight across.
Flip the bottom part upside down, what was the bottom of the t-shirt will now be the top where you insert the casing.
Fold the T-Shirt in half to determine where to make the cut to put the ribbon.

Pinch the top layer make a small cut (but large enough to fit your ribbon through.)
Pin a safety pin into the end of one ribbon and thread it through the edge all the way around.

Try on the skirt and cut the ribbon the length that you want it to be if you want to (I didn't cut it on the above one and will probably just leave it that way).
Tie knots in the ends of both ribbons. Thread two beads on each saftey pin and pin into the knots to keep them from slipping back through and you have skirt to wear or embellish any way you would like.
