York Photo - $1 Personalized Tote Bags (+S&H)

York Photo currently has a promotion for personalized tote bags for $1(normally $8.99) if you use coupon code  YORKTOTEAD until 7/30/12 and you can get up to a total of 3 bags at that price.

I purchased a total of 3 and shipping was $7.97 and for the above used templates from the "Browse Our Designs" and uploaded my pictures to add.   My total for 3 bags + Shipping and handling was $10.97; a savings for $23.97.

The first one is unfortunately one of the best picture I could get of my son on  graduation day as he has places to go and people to see and didn't have time (and it is a bit Frankensteinish with the van in the background looking like bolts coming out of his neck) using the Apple background.   I used to be a teenager once and understand how it is - you are so afraid you are going to miss out on something cool with your friends so I just had to snap as what I could as soon as possible.

The second one I used the "Love My Soldier" background and added the picture of my son's Edsel and put the "1959 Edsel" at the top.  I using this one to hold presents my son on his birthday and he can later use it to hold cleaning supplies and rags to keep in his car instead of scattering them all over the living room:)

I ordered one more for a friend with a flamingo design for her birthday, but not going to post it so it won't spoil the surprise   I don't have to worry about my son reading this as he has a much interest in reading my blog as I would reading all the strange text acronyms young people type back and forth to each other like IKD, *$,.!!!!,BTW, URHOT, XME, ZZZ or RUMCYMHMD.

Walmart Exclusive - Rain-X Fusion Wipers Free After Rebate

With the upcoming Spring rains, it is a good time to change windshield wiper blades and I was excited to find  this deal over at Loco Buy for a chance to score free wiper blades (up to $15.99) after rebate (limit one rebate per household)

The requirements are:

• Purchase the blades at Walmart (between 3/1/12-3/31/12) 
• Print off rebate form here
• Complete rebate form and mail in with original Walmart receipt with the price of the blades circled

The form indicates that you should receive a rebate within 6 weeks.

WALGREENS DEAL - GUD BY BURTS BEES LOTION AS LOW AS $3.09 WITH COUPONS

Walgreens currently has two new fragrances for the GUD line, Orange Petalooza and  Vanilla Flame on sale for $5.59 (Regular price:  $7.99 - at Target is is nearly $10). 

If you "Like" GUD on Facebook you can print a coupon for $1 off. 

Additionally, on the display at the store, there was an additional coupon for $1.50 and as Walgreen is one of the few stores that still stack coupons, you could score this for as low as $3.09.


I tried the Orange Petalooza scent and it has a light orange scent with a hint of hyacinth in a base of shea butter.  It is on par with similarly priced lotions, is non-greasy and absorbs quickly.  
It is not tested on animals and the packaging is made with 25% post consumer waste (but may not be recyclable in all areas).

What that means to me is that it is a good deal on sale and a great deal with the coupons, but if faced between a sale on a different brand of similar quality (that is not animal tested) on sale and paying full price for this product, I would not be brand loyal - I would go for the item that is on sale.


If you don't want to try the new scents, the coupons can be used on any GUD product and could be used at any store that carries GUD products.

Zoya Nail Polish - Get 2 Bottles Free, Just Pay $6.95 Shipping

I spotted this deal over at LocoBuys and from now until 1/9/12 you can get 2 bottles of Zoya nail polish (regular price - $8 per bottle - will show up until code entered at checkout) for free using the code "ZOYA2012" at the checkout ,  just pay $6.95 shipping, so it works out to be around $3.48 a bottle.

I have not used this brand before; however, they have been featured in major magazine and they do tout being toxin free and vegan friendly.

K-Mart Deal - Conair - Bag of Assorted Hair Accessories - $19.99 Value for $2.99

 

I thought I would share this deal that I found at K-Mart today (although it could be available in other stores) for a bag of 5 assorted hair accessories in bag, at $19.99 value for $2.99.

If you are into hair accessories, it is a real deal at cost of around .60 cents for each item.

The cheapest I have found bobby pins has been for $1 at the Dollar Tree and the last bun maker I purchased was at Claire's for $2.99 when it was 50% off.

As each item is carded/boxed individually, if you don't like everything in the bag, it could be put back for a future present, sold at a garage sale, given to a friend  donated to charity or if you are crafty, turned into something that you do like (which is my intention for the purple butterfly headband).

The bags had the same sort of items below, but each back had a different color theme (I chose the purple one):

• A bun maker
• Bobby pins
• A hairband
• A barrette with an embellishment
• A clip with an embellishment
